Yes and Amen

What a Savior!

I came upon a wonderful text as I worked through a liturgy today....

O Israel, wait and watch for God—
with God’s arrival comes love,
with God’s arrival comes generous redemption.
No doubt about it—he’ll redeem Israel,
buy back Israel from captivity to sin. (Psalm 130:7-8, The Message)

I love that in Jesus, we are part of true Israel, and all these promises are Yes and Amen in him (2Cor.1:20).
We have our Father's love,
we have our Father's generous redemption,
he has bought us out of our captivity to sin,
and placed us in the kingdom of his Beloved Son (Col.1:13),
by the power of his Holy Spirit (Titus3:5).

Huh.

Well then.

It's going to be a great day.
