The Nicaragua Team

I've mentioned that we have two kids out of the country, proclaiming Jesus and serving in his name. You recently read an update on Bella, now here is one on my son, Colton (lower right in pic below, white t-shirt and black shorts). Please continue to pray for both. Thanks!

A recent update from the team leader, Josh Johnson:

Sunday, July 29, 5:01 p.m. - Ministry has been going great and the change of schedule has actually worked out really well. The team is in good spirits and has thoroughly enjoyed working with the children at VBS. We've had between 125 and 200 children every day for the first three days! This morning, after hearing a very clear Gospel presentation, around 25 children came forward to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior!! God is doing a mighty work in the hearts and lives of these children and in our team as well.

Along with the VBS we've stepped in and helped with the building of their new church. We've already unloaded 850 cinder blocks and are preparing to unload 1150 more Monday morning. The men in the church are working on getting the walls up and we are offering as much assistance as we can. Everyone has become more aware of the many blessings we have and seeing Jesus Christ as the ultimate treasure!

A couple of things to pray for: Continue to pray for strength and energy as the days are long and hot. Also pray that the team would stay unified as the pressures and opportunites for conflict become greater everyday. Lastly, we ask for prayer tonight as we are attending our 3rd church service. Our students, without the assistance of leaders, will be leading a song tonight, doing a drama, and sharing testimonies.

Thank you for all of your prayers! We recognize that nothing could happen without the Lord, thank you for joining us in beckoning for His leading and moving!
